Part of Jane McCracken's exquisite series of works entitled 'In Homage to The Last Great Carnivores of Eurasia' this piece draws on a number of images from the Rorschach 'Ink Blot' test, to Ivan Shishkin's painting 'Morning in a pine forest' to create a thought provoking and inspiring piece which explores the dangers and threat posed to orphaned brown bears by the loss of their mother in an erie and dreamlike setting.
This work, as all the others in the series has been featured in a number of solo exhibitions and is the subject of considerable interest from Animal Conservation groups and collectors alike.
All of the pieces in this series were created on paper using just a ballpoint pen. It's amazing what a Bic can do when in the hands of someone as talented as Jane.
