Part of Jane McCracken's exquisite series of works entitled 'In Homage to The Last Great Carnivores of Eurasia' this piece features the white wolf and was inspired by a trip to Romania where Jane encountered Storks for the first time. This amalgam of both Stork and the majestic White Wolf snared by the hunter forms part of a diptych 'Sweet and Revenge'.
This work, as all the others in the series has been featured in a number of solo exhibitions and is the subject of considerable interest from Animal Conservation groups and collectors alike.
All of the pieces in this series were created on paper using just a ballpoint pen. It's amazing what a Bic can do when in the hands of someone as talented as Jane.
